Deadly Weekend in Colorado for Car Accidents
Colorado Springs – Intersection Fatality
A heartbreaking weekend for families of car accident victims around Colorado as five different accidents lead to five fatalities. The first accident occurring at the intersection of Murray Boulevard and Palmer Park in Colorado Springs on Friday, August 28th at about 2:00 p.m. Although the investigation is still on-going, the police have stated that a black sedan was traveling southbound on Murray Boulevard and a blue pickup truck was headed eastbound on Palmer Park. The pickup made a hasty right turn into the passenger side of the sedan causing the pickup to roll onto its side, ejecting the driver in the process. The sedan was then forced eastbound and into the side of a home on the corner of the intersection. The pickup driver was transported to the hospital but unfortunately passed away due to his injuries. The driver of the sedan had only minor injuries.

Colorado Springs – One Vehicle Crash
Early Saturday morning, August 29th, Colorado State Patrol encountered the third fatal accident of the weekend. At about 6:50 a.m. a Mercedes SUV was traveling east on Falcon Highway near Curtis Road when the driver lost control of the car causing it to roll several times. All four people were ejected from the vehicle during the roll. When the car finally came to rest, it burst into flames. This investigation is on-going; drugs and speed are all being considered as factors that lead to the crash.
